Consent & Fees
Therapy is a shared process — grounded in understanding, choice, and mutual respect.
Informed Consent
Before beginning therapy, it is important that you understand the nature of the process, what to expect, and your rights as a client. Informed consent means that you are choosing to participate freely and with full awareness.
We will review the consent form together at the start of therapy, and you are invited to ask questions at any point about the process, boundaries, or modalities used.
Therapeutic Process
Therapy is a collaborative process. It may bring awareness, relief, and transformation, and at times it may evoke discomfort as deeper material surfaces for integration. You always retain the right to pause, redirect, or discontinue therapy at any time. My role is to provide a safe and attuned container for your unfolding process.
Fees and Session Length
Session Fee: $250 per session (50–75 minutes). Session length ranges from 50 to 75 minutes, allowing flexibility for integration and closure rather than ending abruptly by the clock.
Fees are due at the time of session and may be paid by e-transfer, credit card, or direct billing when available.
Direct Billing available for:
Alberta Blue Cross
Pacific Blue Cross
GreenShield/SSQ
Medavie
FNIHB
For all other providers, detailed receipts are provided for reimbursement under extended health benefits.
Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.
The full session fee applies to late cancellations and missed appointments.
I recognize that life is complex, and sometimes emergent situations arise unexpectedly. When possible, please contact me as soon as you are aware of a conflict, and I will do my best to accommodate changes when space and situation allows.
Client Rights
You have the right to:
ask questions about your treatment or the therapeutic process at any time
decline or withdraw consent without penalty
request a referral to another professional
access your records or request corrections if needed.
Your voice and participation are central to this process. As part of my alignment to authenticity and integrity, I encourage you to communicate your needs openly. I am hear to listen and provide a safe space for you to do so.
